Croce & Company is an accounting firm founded in 1987 by Rudy Croce. The firm currently has two shareholders, each with diverse experience and expertise supported by a staff of twenty-one experienced professionals. Croce & Company has established a reputation for providing high quality personalized service to our clients, whether the need is for tax management, general accounting services, audits, financial statements, business planning, or financial guidance.

Rudy G. Croce, CPA

Rudy received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco where he majored in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.

Rudy’s professional experience is in the area of income tax and accounting. He works extensively with individuals and corporations in agriculture, agribusiness, manufacturing and legal and medical professions. Much of his work is with closely held companies as a consultant to owners and executives on topics such as business expansion, management succession and income and estate tax planning.


Larry M. Solari, CPA

Larry M. Solari, CPA is a shareholder in Croce & Company Accountancy Corporation and has been with the firm since its inception in 1987. He graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration in 1979 and from Golden Gate University with a Masters of Science Degree in Taxation in 1987. Prior to joining Croce & Company, Larry was employed as a manager with a national certified public accounting firm. He has worked in all areas of accounting, taxation and auditing. The clients he serves represent a large range of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, construction, real estate, transportation, professional, and retail organizations. His background also includes extensive experience in the area of planning and structuring business acquisitions, mergers and dispositions.

Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also actively involved in various other civic and business organizations such as the Farm Credit System where he serves as a member of the board of directors for and as audit committee chairman for American AgCredit ACA and in San Joaquin County where he serves as chairman of the San Joaquin County Assessment Appeals Board. His past accomplishments include serving as president for the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce and as chairman of the San Joaquin County Planning Commission.


Duane E. Bulthuis, CPA

Duane E. Bulthuis, CPA, is a shareholder of Croce & Company Accountancy Corporation. He focuses on income tax services.

Duane has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting at Croce & Company. In that time, he has served a diverse clientele in such industries as agriculture, wineries, food processors, packing operations, manufacturing, professional services, real estate developers, construction industries and non-profit organizations. His focus is to provide clients with practical tax consulting and tax preparation services.

Duane graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received his Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. His professional memberships included the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Duane has been involved with charities and non-profit organizations over the years. These organizations include Junior Achievement (Past Chairman and Past Treasurer), Ironstone Concours Foundation (Treasurer), Zion United Reformed Church (Treasurer), Gideon’s International – Ripon/Manteca Area (Treasurer), Providence Christian College (Board Member) and The Stockton Symphony (Past Board Member).

Jeff W. Peek, CPA

Jeffrey W. Peek, CPA, joined Croce & Company as a senior manager in 2014.  He entered public accounting in 2003 and his experience includes audit, tax and consulting services in a variety of industries including real estate, banking, governmental, manufacturing, software, benefit plans, and not-for-profit.  Prior to joining Croce & Company, Jeff worked for a national firm as an audit manager where he was also a member of their recruiting committee and their learning and development team.

Jeff graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Business Administration.  Jeff is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Sacramento and a continuing member of the alumni association.  He is a proud father of two sons and loves flying remote control planes, enjoys a good red wine with friends, and cooking in his spare time.


Ivy B. Cowan, EA

Ivy B. Cowan, EA, has been with Croce & Company since its inception in 1987. She manages the consulting department and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Her focus is on providing clients with information and support with regards to their every day accounting needs. She is familiar with a wide variety of accounting software packages and provides training and support for accounting personnel. Financial statement preparation, payroll tax services, sales tax reports, property tax preparation and audit support are just a few of the services provided.

Ivy is dedicated to the support of her community and continually provides accounting support for various non-profit organizations. She has served as Treasurer on the board of directors for a local non-profit organization.


Jean M. Scott, EA

Jean M. Scott, EA, has been a member of Croce & Company Accountancy Corporation since its inception in 1987. Prior to joining Croce & Company, she practiced in the tax department of a national certified public accounting firm for over nine years.

Jean has many years experience in the area of tax planning, tax compliance and advisory services for closely held businesses, individuals and corporations. Her emphasis is in the estate planning area. She also has nine years experience working in the trust department of a major California bank, specializing in estate and trust administration, estate planning and trust and estate taxation.

Jean has given numerous seminars on estate planning, talking about general and specific laws and ideas in the estate planning area. She has also talked publicly on the special laws and issues affecting estate planning for agricultural clients. She stays current on the changes in law, regulations, tax cases and new trends through her attendance at seminars including the Southern California Estate Planning Forum in San Diego each year.

Jean is involved in various civic organizations, including the Stockton Estate Planning Council, where she served on the board of directors and as president, and has served as an officer of the San Joaquin County Library Literacy Foundation.


David S. Mettler, EA

David S. Mettler, EA, joined the professional staff at Croce & Company in 2000. He specializes in partnership and corporate income tax preparation, serving a variety of clients including those involved in agriculture and real estate. He is experienced with tax exempt organization issues including the exemption application process and the preparation of exempt organization tax returns.

Dave graduated from San Jose State College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Engineering. Prior to joining Croce & Company he had been farming wine grapes and cherries in the Lodi area. He also has 27 years of service in the United States Air Force as a civilian aerospace engineer and active duty F-105 Tactical Fighter Pilot. He enjoys gardening, fly fishing, cooking, and a glass of good red wine, particularly Old Vine Zinfandel.


Stephanie A. Hudelson, CPA

Stephanie A. Hudelson, CPA, joined Croce & Company in 2013.  Prior to joining Croce & Company she worked at a local CPA firm.  Stephanie performs tax and audit services for a variety of industries including agriculture, construction, professional service, non-profit, and governmental organizations.

Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus in 2009.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Stephanie is also a member of the 2015-2016 Leadership Stockton Program.


Jennifer A. Marchini, CPA

Jennifer A. Marchini, CPA, has been with Croce & Company since 2014.  She has experience with both audit and tax services. Prior to joining Croce & Company, she worked within the audit division of an international accounting firm where she was involved with both publicly and privately held clients.  She has worked with agriculture, technology, manufacturing, governmental, as well as nonprofit organizations, and has assisted her clients with initial public offerings, secondary offerings, acquisitions, and various other services.

Jennifer graduated Loyola Marymount University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.


Jordan T. Daigre

Jordan T. Daigre joined Croce & Company in 2014 as a staff accountant. Jordan graduated from Simpson University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and has been in public accounting since the beginning of 2014.

Jordan played collegiate soccer at Simpson University and loves to play all sports, along with any other activity that allows him to be active and competitive. He also loves to travel and spend time on the Delta with his wife and friends in his spare time.


Janice M. Arnaudo

Janice M. Arnaudo joined Croce & Company in February 1988 as a Staff Accountant. She graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Accounting. Janice’s experience includes dairy and agricultural accounting.

In her spare time, she is the bookkeeper for her family’s dairy farm. Janice and her husband have four children who are involved in the family’s agricultural business.


Olga L. Alicea

Olga L. Alicea, joined Croce & Company in 2007 as a Consulting Department accountant.  She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 1969 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Business Administration and has had a career in accounting for over 30 years.

Olga’s experience includes business and governmental accounting, financial statement preparation and compliances.  Her emphasis is in property tax.  She is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Olga enjoys music and tending her garden.  She has a passion for cooking and setting a beautiful table for her guests.  Mostly, she loves spending quality time with her family.


Karen E. Mackey

Karen E. Mackey joined the consulting team at Croce & Company in 2009.  This team has allowed her to utilize the knowledge and experience gained from her work in banking as well as many years as a full charge bookkeeper and office manager.

Karen enjoys the variety of clients and businesses the consulting team offers.  She enjoys the customer contact and strives to provide friendly and excellent customer service.


Kim S. Beck

Kimberly S. Beck, Consulting Department, had 14+ years’ experience as a small business owner in Stockton before coming to work with Croce & Company.  During those years, she gained valuable firsthand knowledge of full cycle accounting as well as a unique understanding of the challenges that confront small business owners in our community.  She closed her business in 2008 and went back to school to earn an Associate’s degree in Accounting.  Upon completion of her education in 2011, she came to work for our firm.

Kim is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is familiar with several other accounting software packages.  As part of our consulting staff, she routinely assists clients with their individual accounting needs which include, but are not limited to, payroll tax services, sales tax reports, property tax preparation and financial statement preparation.

Kim was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley and is a mother of four as well as a grandmother of a continually growing family.  She enjoys spending her personal time with her family and is an avid reader of mostly historical fiction.


Patrice A. Crabtree

Patrice Crabtree has been with Croce & Company since 2011.  Prior to joining Croce & Company she worked as an financial analyst for a major public utility and as a Management Accountant and Controller in the wine, manufacturing and non-profit industries.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science-Public Service from University of California, Davis and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Baylor University.  She is a past president of the Stockton Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Patrice grew up in the Air Force and can claim to have been in every state of the union plus a few territories.  She has lived in Lodi for over 30 years and enjoys gourmet cooking, music and travelling.


Laura L. Smith

Laura L. Smith, Accounts Receivable Clerk, has been with Croce & Company since 2002.  She is a Notary Public. Prior to Accounts Receivables, she has been an Administrative Assistant for the firm.

Laura has completed a mixture of semester classes and is currently pursuing a Bookkeeping Certificate at San Joaquin Delta College.

Laura was raised as a military brat; her father was in the Air Force.  She has moved and traveled to a variety of military bases, including a few states, the Philippines and Germany.  Laura moved to Stockton in 1982.


Connie R. Smith

Connie R. Smith, Administrative Assistant, has been with Croce & Company since August 2007.  She has had a career in the clerical field for over 20 years.  Her responsibilities include assisting the Assurance and Consulting Departments with typing financial statements, preparing governmental reports and assisting with the assembly of tax returns.  She is also a Notary Public.

Connie enjoys wine-tasting with her husband and camping with her family.


Thea Klok

Thea Klok, Administrative Assistant, has been with Croce & Company since 2006 and has been in the administrative field for over 14 years.  She graduated with an associate’s in applied science degree in Computer Business Administration from Heald College, Stockton in 2001.  She handles tax assembly and all extensions required each month.  She also supports all departments, making sure the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
